Mariah Carey Forgets the 'Auld Lang Syne' Lyrics While Singing to Fans on NYE 2021

One of Mariah Carey‘s most famous holiday songs is her cover of “Auld Lang Syne,” though she doesn’t seem to remember the lyrics anymore!

The beloved entertainer took to her social media accounts on New Year’s Eve 2021 to share a video of her singing the song a capella.

Ironically, the lyrics that Mariah couldn’t remember were the title of the song!

“Should auld acquaintance be forgot / And never brought to mind? / Should auld acquaintance be forgot,” Mariah sang before saying, “I don’t know how it goes.”

Mariah then got out some of the other lyrics, “And days of auld lang syne?”

“Never could pronounce it properly,” she then said. “I love you. Happy new year! Let’s hope for better, better days, in 2021 and beyond.”

The 51-year-old entertainer was the headliner for the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest special on Thursday night (December 31) and her family joined her on stage while counting down to midnight.

Jennifer, her fiance Alex Rodriguez, their four kids, and Jen‘s mom were all there to ring in the new year together. You could see them all during the ABC broadcast!

Matt Bomer said goodbye to 2020 in the best way possible… sharing a new shirtless photo with his fans!

The 43-year-old White Collar actor took to his Instagram Stories this week to share a photo that he took back in 2019.

“1 year ago today… the future was looking bright,” Matt captioned the photo, in which he was wearing a pair of Prive Revaux sunglasses. He has collaborated with the brand and launched a capsule collection with them.

Matt added, “Let’s hope 2021 is a better year for all of us.”

Mariah Carey Heard JLo's New Year's Eve Performance & Her Reaction Is a Must Watch

New Year’s Eve 2021 brought us the latest update in the endless saga of the Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez feud.

The feud started in the early 2000s when Mariah was being interviewed by a foreign TV station and was asked about other pop stars. When she was asked about JLo, her response was, “I don’t know her.”

In 2014, Andy Cohen asked Mariah about it and she said, “I know from back in the day, I’ve read things that she’s said about me that were not the greatest, but we have never met. Like, we don’t know each other. I think it’s kind of from word of mouth of things that have happened in the past that I’m not really aware of.”

Then at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, Jennifer was caught looking at her phone while Mariah performed. She later told Andy, “First of all, that was not fair with the texting thing because I watched a lot of it — it was a long performance. I watched most of it, I may have looked down for one second and people were like, ‘Look at her! Look at her!’”

Flash forward to the end of 2020 and what happened on New Year’s Eve.

Jennifer was performing live in Times Square at the same time that Mariah was being interviewed on CNN by Andy Cohen (yet again) and Anderson Cooper, who were broadcasting from Times Square.

At one point, Mariah heard the music in the background and said, “What’s going on in the background? I’m hearing music.” Andy told her, “Yeah, we got JLo behind us, actually.” He then quickly changed the subject, probably well aware of the situation!

Blake Jenner Returns to Instagram for First Time Since Admitting to Domestic Abuse

Blake Jenner has been silent on Instagram for pretty much all of 2020 except for one post in which he spoke out in response to domestic abuse allegations from ex-wife Melissa Benoist.

The 28-year-old former Glee actor confirmed the abuse revelation and said he took “full responsibility” for what happened. He also gave his side of the story and claimed that he was assaulted in the shower by Melissa and left with a traumatic injury.

At the time, Melissa‘s fans spoke out in support of her and accused Blake of victim blaming.

Now, Blake is back with a new video and a message for the new year.

The 25-year-old model and her friends, including Fai Khadra, were spotted stopping by the Green Dragon marijuana dispensary on Thursday night (December 31) in Aspen, Col.

After a day of snowboarding on the slopes, Kendall and her pals went shopping around town to prepare for their New Year’s Eve celebration.

Kendall revealed on the podcast back in September that she’s a stoner.

“I am a stoner,” Kendall said. “No one knows that, so that’s the first time I’ve ever really said anything out there.”

Here's Why Jennifer Lopez Teared Up During Her New Year's Eve 2021 Performance in Times Square

Jennifer Lopez gave an incredible performance in Times Square to wrap up 2020 on New Year’s Eve and there were some tears shed.

The 51-year-old entertainer headlined Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday night (December 31) in New York City.

Jennifer kicked off the performance by wearing an outfit that made her look like a giant cake while she gave us the live debut of her new single “In the Morning.”

After performing the new song, Jennifer took a break to talk to the crowd at home and something she said left her with tears in her eyes.

“2020 is almost over. We made it. We made it,” Jennifer told the audience. She then reflected on the big year she had, which started with a Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Shakira.

“We’ve got to think about the beginning of this year, being at one of the biggest performances of my life,” Jennifer said. “Thousands of people. But tonight we’re doing things a little differently. That’s okay.”

Jennifer then remembered the lives lost in 2020 and got teary-eyed. She said, “If this year taught us anything, it taught us to be grateful for what we do have — to cherish every moment. We lost too many. Too many.”

“So tonight we’re going to live, we’re going to love and we’re going to dance again. And we’re going to keep on dreaming. Twenty years ago, I sang this song, and we never needed it more than tonight,” she added.

Jennifer continued the performance by singing her smash hit song “Waiting for Tonight” and then segueing into a cover of Aerosmith‘s “Dream On.”

The performance ended with Jennifer giving us the upbeat song “Dance Again.”

Justin Bieber has released his new single “Anyone” and the music video for the song is here as well!

The 26-year-old singer stars in the video alongside Zoey Deutch and they recreated scenes from the classic movie Rocky with him as the title character and her as Adrian.

For the video, Justin used makeup to cover up all of the tattoos on his body. He has had tattoos for a decade now, so this is a completely different look for him!

“That you are the only one I’ll ever love / Yeah, you, if it’s not you, it’s not anyone / Lookin’ back on my life you’re the only good I’ve ever done / Yeah, you, if it’s not you, it’s not anyone,” Justin sings in the chorus.

This isn’t the first time that Zoey has starred in a major star’s music video. She previously appeared in Ed Sheeran‘s video for “Perfect” back in 2017.
